At FBC we believe that Jesus calls the church to a life of discipleship. By the very nature of the word, discipleship, is simply teaching people to follow Jesus as we follow Him our selves. We strongly believe that the call of Jesus on the life of the believer is not to ‘make converts’ yet to ‘make disciples’ We do this in various ways
1. The corporate worship of God – through the church family gathering together to pray, sing and sit under the preaching and teaching of God’s Word
2. Sunday morning small groups – traditionally known as Sunday School – we call it Bible Study Fellowship and it is a great way to get into Gods Word and fellowship with one another
3. Masterlife – Masterlife is a small group study written by Avery Willis which stresses the basic disciplines of the Christian life.
4. “FOUNDations” – A introduction to Christianity and what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ in the context of the local church.
5. “Follow” groups – small groups that meet during the week to study, pray and serve and encourage one another
6. “Lead” Groups – intended for a deeper discipleship experience. Led by staff and seasoned discipleship leaders
7. “Reach” groups – outreach bible studies and small groups held all over NWA designed to be a contact point for the unsaved and unchurched
