Mission Statement
The First Baptist Church of Garfield exists to bring Glory to God by providing a ministry through our local body of believers (Church) encouraging all to WORSHIP God, To PREACH and TEACH the Word of God, To SHARE the Love of God, both in Northwest Arkansas and to the end of the Earth. All of this is done with the purpose of BAPTIZING Believers and TEACHING and EQUIPPING them to become faithful, devoted, followers of Jesus Christ.

Core Values
The primacy of preaching in the worship of God
The fidelity of Christ exalting worship in our music, both doctrinally and musically
The testimony of a ministry of PRAYER, which covers all that we do
The equality of ALL people in assimilation and incorporation in the ministry of our church and our efforts to reach out to our world
The necessity of sharing the gospel with EVERYONE both individually and corporately
The urgency to be ON MISSION not only locally but also globally
The flexibility to change without compromise when needed
The ministry of care giving to those who need to be loved in the midst of life as usual and life’s trials
The strategy of small group discipleship in the process of disciple making and evangelism (Bible Study Fellowship, LIFE Groups etc)
The certainty of Christ’s return as a catalyst for holy living
The reality of a family of believers who LOVE one another without reservation or condition
Our mission statement along with our core values serves to assist us in our focus and our accomplishing that which the Lord has called us to. We must not do anything that is not consistent with both our mission statement and our core values.
